Getting started is simple. Create a new Solana account, or import an existing one. MetaMask will detect your balances for you. Our curated onramp lets you buy tokens at the best prices, or you can bridge cryptocurrencies you already own from Ethereum to Solana. And you can do all this alongside your existing Ethereum accounts, from one place.

In July 2025, the MetaMask team announced that their popular self‑custodial wallet now natively supports the Solana blockchain. Up until now MetaMask worked primarily with Ethereum and other EVM‑compatible networks, so connecting to Solana meant using third‑party Snaps or separate wallets. The new update lets users create or import Solana accounts directly within the MetaMask extension and mobile app, right alongside their existing Ethereum accounts.

With Solana on MetaMask you can send and receive SOL and Solana‑based tokens, swap and bridge assets, and interact with Solana dapps without juggling multiple wallets. The goal is to provide a single, secure interface for managing multiple blockchains. MetaMask also offers bridges to move assets from Ethereum to Solana and a curated on‑ramp for purchasing Solana tokens. As multi‑chain support becomes the norm, this integration will make it easier for users to explore Solana’s high‑speed ecosystem while benefitting from MetaMask’s security features and familiar user experience.
