CopperScope Privacy Policy
Your board files stay on your Mac.
Updated October 11, 2026. This policy covers CopperScope for macOS, developed by Rule Mobile App Development and Engineering.
Board processing stays local
CopperScope reads the files you choose and processes their board data on your Mac. It does not upload PCB designs, schematic PDFs, net names, searches or exports to Rule Mobile.
The app has no CopperScope sign-in, telemetry, advertising SDK or cloud parsing service. Ordinary board inspection and export do not use a network connection.
Local workspace data
CopperScope saves local settings so it can restore your work. These include recent projects, document tabs, file-access bookmarks, file identities and sizes, camera position and rotation, layer preferences, reference PDF state and saved calibration references.
These settings remain in the app's local Application Support storage. ZIP projects can use temporary local extraction files while open. CopperScope keeps inspection settings separate from the original designs.
Exports go to the locations you choose. If you save to a synchronized folder, your storage provider or backup software can copy those files elsewhere. CopperScope does not initiate that synchronization.
Optional support messages
Help > Submit Feedback opens an email draft addressed to info@rulemobile.com. It fills in the app name, version, build and macOS version. You can change the message, add attachments or cancel it. CopperScope does not send the message or attach a board automatically.
If you send a message, Rule Mobile receives your email address, message and any attachments you include. We use support correspondence to answer requests, investigate issues and maintain support history. We retain it as needed for those purposes and applicable obligations.
Share confidential designs only when you have permission. To ask about a support message or request its deletion, email info@rulemobile.com with the subject CopperScope Privacy Request. We handle requests subject to applicable obligations.
Website and external links
Website, App Store and feedback controls open your browser, the App Store or your email app. Those services make their own connections and apply their own privacy practices.
This policy describes the CopperScope app. It does not describe all website hosting, cookies or server logs. Visits to rulemobile.com follow the Rule Mobile website privacy policy.
Apple services
Apple handles App Store purchases, downloads and updates. Apple can provide crash reports or TestFlight feedback under the settings and terms of its services. CopperScope has no separate automatic diagnostics upload service.
Read Apple's privacy information for its services.
Your choices
You can inspect and export boards without sending feedback or visiting a website. You can remove local workspace settings independently of your board files. Contact support for the correct app-data location for your installed build. Exported files remain where you saved them.
There is no CopperScope account to delete. To remove a support message you sent, contact Rule Mobile as described above.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when CopperScope's data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
